10 Luxury Homes of Hollywood celebrities

1.Spelling Manor: Most Expensive House in U.S. Finally Sells

candy Spelling–widow of TV titan Aaron Spelling and mother of Tori–has been trying to sell her famous 57,000 square-foot mansion in Los Angeles, known as “The Manor,” for years (I first wrote about it in early 2009 when the listing became public).
She refused to budge on her asking price of $150 million, which seemed a little crazy when house prices were falling all around her, but her persistence has apparently paid off. The 22-year old U.K. heiress Petra Ecclestone has reportedly decided to buy the Manor with its (in)famous gift-wrapping room and doll museum.

2.Singer Celine Dion Selling Private Island Estate in Montreal

Celine Dion is one of those superstars who does everything up big, from her wedding to her ballads. Remember her $20 million “waterpark house” in Florida? Well, this 24,000 square-foot French Normandy-style chateau built on a private island near Montreal is pretty over the top, too. She’s selling it for about $29 million–take a look!

Celine Dion At Home in Florida With Her Twins

one thing I’m really going to miss when Oprah goes off the air are the peeks she gives us into celebrity homes. On Monday, we got a look inside the controversial $20 million “waterpark house” that Celine Dion and her husband RenĂ© built on Jupiter Island. As I mentioned before, it’s been making waves with her neighbors.

4.Kim Kardashian’s New House in Beverly Hills

Okay, so I have to admit I’m not really Keeping Up with the Kardashians, so Kim Kardashian and her new Mediterranean villa in Beverly Hills weren’t on my radar when she bought it earlier this year. Judging by the amount of e-mail I got from readers asking to see photos of it, though, I may be the only one who doesn’t watch her reality show on E!, which describes it this way:
“A tempest of siblings, business and fame engulf  Olympic decathlete Bruce Jenner and paparazzi fave Kim Kardashian as their huge Hollywood families collide.” (So dramatic!)

5.Jennifer Aniston’s Sleek New $21 Million House in Bel Air

Gotta say I was kind of disappointed to see the new house Jennifer Aniston just bought in Bel Air, California. It’s a little “chilly” for me, and if I had $21 million to spend, this is probably not what I’d spend it on.
However, if you like contemporary design as much as she apparently does, you might love this 8,500 square-foot house, which was designed in 1965 by A. Quincy Jones. Take a look!

6.Reese Witherspoon’s $6.9 Million Country House in Ojai

Reese Witherspoon has a new $6.9 million country house in Ojai, California. According to the MLS listing, it’s a Wallace Neff architectural masterpiece that includes an equestrian compound: “The perfect 6+ acre hideaway is nestled in fabulous Ojai Valley, a short drive to one of LA’s most sought after vacation spots. Fabulous new master suite. Incredible privacy.”
The home was formerly owned by actor/director Harold Ramis (“Ghostbusters”). Here are some of the photos from the real estate listing for it:

7.Kelsey Grammer Buys Beverly Hills Villa

Kelsey Grammer reportedly plunked down $6.5 million for this fully renovated, Spanish Colonial Revival-style mansion in Beverly Hills at the end of April. The 6,000 square-foot villa, which was built in 1926, should provide plenty of room for his growing family. After divorcing his Real Housewife Camille in early 2011, he married Kayte Walsh, and they’re expecting twins later this year.

Take a look!
There are 6 bedrooms and 7 baths in the house.

8.Scarlett Johansson & Ryan Reynolds Selling House in L.A.

Exes Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds finalized their divorce last summer, and now they’re parting ways with their former home in L.A., too. The Buff & Hensman-designed “Wong House” was built in 1969 in the Los Feliz hills.
They paid $2.9 million, “totally restored and upgraded” the house, and are now selling it for $3.65 million. Take a look!

9.Kate Hudson Buys 1935 Tudor Revival House Next Door

Kate Hudson, who’s engaged to Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy and expecting a baby with him, just bought the historic 1935 Tudor Revival next door to her long-time Pacific Palisades home in California. Word has it she paid $5.3 million and plans to use it as a guest house. I’m hoping to get my invitation to stay there soon. Hey, Kate, I’ll be happy to babysit!

10.Mary Kay’s Big Pink House For Sale in Dallas

If you like pink as much as the late cosmetics queen Mary Kay Ash did, then the house she built in Dallas might be just the place for you. The pink mansion sits on over an acre of land in Old Preston Hollow and is on the market for $3.3 million. Take a look!
